Program Intern - JCC Mid-Westchester

Are you looking to enhance your skills and be involved in planning meaningful Jewish programs?  

 

The JCC Mid-Westchester is currently seeking a creative, outgoing, and organized College intern. The ideal candidate would enjoy flexible hours and a fast paced work environment. Available to work evenings and some weekends. This position requires a self starter, with attention to detail and ability to multitask. This is a paid internship. 13 dollars an hour.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:  

 

Program Planning and Administration

  • Support all “Arts & Talks”  events: manage and administer all aspects of event logistics up to and including the ‘day of the event’ set ups, and ensure that all events run smoothly. 
  • Organize travel arrangements for speakers and authors  
  • Assist in marketing programs on social media as well as distribution of marketing material to local organizations
  • Manage administrative tasks such as: bill payment, booking events, ordering supplies, room set-up, testing technical equipment, and taking minutes.
  • Create and maintain post-event surveys. Evaluate impact of programs and recommend methods to promote and increase patron involvement
  • Help schedule volunteers

 

Qualifications:

  • College student
  • Interested in Jewish programming and event planning 
  • Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
