About Us

Hillel at Pace University-Pleasantville has recently found a new faculty advisor which is a requirement for being an official campus club.  Professor Maryellen Martirano is an experienced attorney and new faculty member in the field of Criminal Justice and Security. Hillel Executive Director Saul Spangenberg has provided our bi-laws to the PACE student government in order to establish Hillel as an official student club on campus. Professor Martirano's husband is Jewish and she has expressed an interest in learning more about Judaism and Hillel. We applaud the hard work of student President Tsivya Miller in presenting a club constitution and petitioning for funding. Hillel Engagement Associate Abi Winter supports programming initiatives and bringing Pace Hillel students to our other campus programs. In the past, Hillel has co-sponsored activities on campus such as the Clubs Fair, Cultural Dish Night, the Dean’s Holiday Party, and the Y-Love concert.

Hillel also provides an outlet to learn about Jewish culture and religion through Holocaust education, social justice programming, and Shabbat activities.

Please note that Hillels of Westchester only serves the students on the Pleasantville and Briarcliff campuses, not the Law School in White Plains or the Pace University campus in downtown Manhattan which has it's own Hillel.
